Everyone loves Bahlsen Biscuits, right? But how many have ever used them in baking rather than just eating them as a biscuit? I know I hadn't until this week, when I was one of the bloggers taking part in the #bahlsenbakeoff.
We had THE most amazing and beautiful parcel through the post...and inside was everything we'd need to get started....
Included were recipe books for the Choco Leibniz and Zoo biscuits - Zoo Biscuits Mess caught my 5 year old's eye straightaway!
And the correct personal protective equipment for 4 chefs and mini-chefs!
The challenge was to video our exploits, so let the baking begin.....
We had an excellent time, it was absolutely loads of fun, and the children really did practice and learn lots of new baking skills - important for anyone. We also had gorgeous puddings-a-plenty for the whole weekend!
The recipes were all delicious - and my 5 year old is delighted to have discovered Meringue - even if he can't remember exactly what it's called!
If you want to try any of the recipes that we tried, or have a look through a whole heap more, they're all available on the Bahlsen Website.....I hope you have as much fun baking in your kitchen as we did!
I have to say, it's been one of my favourite challenges so far, so many yummy things to make and the kids have had loads of fun. I did get a bit worried for your cheescake at one point, I'm glad they got it out of the tin ok :) Thanks for linking up x
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to let them break it, but they did forget to line the baking dish :D
