I was then challenged on Google+ to prove it was possible by Kids Chaos, Cathy Ranson of Netmums and Paul Stickland - the author/designer of some truly amazing children's books.
You can't ignore a challenge, so I set my teenagers onto it!
We took a standard postcard as a template and cut cereal boxes to size, and then made the slits in much the same way as Kids Chaos explained, but more finely.
And then.....step through it!
They did a great job - and I had to pay out 3 packets of Swizzels Rainbow Drops as prizes!
What is the smallest piece of card your children can step through?
Ah that's fab! We always used to do this with the cubs when I was a cub leader. I think Jake needs to cut his slits a bit smaller, the girls were much quicker!
ReplyDeleteThat's his natural speed... :D
DeleteTher'es another video with all of them going through one of the girls' postcards - but Zeke ran in with no pants on!
What a really cool idea - I've not seen this before
ReplyDeleteIt's great fun... :)
DeleteWow this is fab - I think Miss M would love a try at this.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great party favourite :D
DeleteThat looks like so much fun. Reminds me a bit of when they step into the pictures in Mary Poppins lol. Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. It's a rare thing to find something without a screen or music that gets the teenagers up and excited :D
DeleteGreat idea! Always good to find something to keep everyone amused, if only for a short while!
ReplyDeleteIt's very good for a laugh :D
DeleteLove this Jenny, you have such obliging teenagers too!
