E-cloth anti-allergy, no chemical cleaning products review

I was invited to an event to find out all about e-cloths and sadly I couldn't go - logistics with my children rarely allow me to attend anything. However they offered to send me some cloths to review and I was more than happy to try them.

E-cloths are specially designed to clean without the need for anything other than water. No chemicals, no abrasives, nothing that'll take the laquer off your paint or make your appliances rusty - nothing to aggravate any allergies.

My hands are in water a lot and get quite dry and sore at times, so I'm more than happy to forego cleaning products whenever appropriate and possible.

The first cloth is a Non Scratch Scouring Cloth. This is ideal for cleaning your kitchen surfaces. It has a sort of plasticised rough surface which means as you glide over your units you clean them with very little effort.

I tried it on my worktops, table and benches, and then couple of my appliances. It wasn't exactly a tough test, but this cloth is also good for pots and pans, and cleaning the oven....

I haven't yet given this a proper test, but I think as a general purpose cloth it's great. It's really quick to use, you don't spend ages trying to rinse off residue and in fact a single wipe was enough for most of what I did, so it saved loads of time. The large size means you can cover a big area all at once unlike the sponges I generally use. Rinse it as you use it and when you're finished throw it in the washing machine and it's ready to go again.

The RRP is £4.99 and although that seems expensive, if you aren't buying scouring products or any other cloths I believe it will definitely end up saving you money.

The other cloths I tried are the Window Cleaning Cloths. There are two in the pack. One thicker cloth with a waffle surface for cleaning, and a slightly smoother cloth for drying.

I have to say that I love these cloths. I wasn't convinced at all until I tried them, and they're brilliant.

My window doesn't look too bad until you see the next picture!

I've not edited those photo's except to crop them. In my defence there are building works round here ....honest!

The best bit about it is that it only took me five minutes to clean the window inside and out, with only 1 rinse of the washing cloth. It was brilliant. There was no water all over the place, no lugging buckets around, No rinsing suds forever. I'm a definite convert.

The Window Pack has an RRP of £9.49, which I'm more than happy to pay when these cloths wear out.

E-cloth have free UK delivery for all orders over £20 and sell a variety of chemical-free cloths for cleaning all aspects of your home from showers to floors and Cars to Cats!

    1. Time will tell, I'd imagine so though because they are a lot thicker. I suppose too, if they aren't having gritty scourers rubbed into them? :)

  3. I think you have sold me on the windows as it is one of my least favourite jobs, if it works on my sea salty windows it will have to be a winner!

  7. I did not expect to like e clothes. The microfiber you buy at the store has always felt nasty to me. Norwex is going crazy around me and I wanted to try it but geez sooo expensive. So I bought a starter pack of e clothes on eBay. Then I found this blog and have been buying here. Love them

    2. Not really, I'm a cleaning freak and I love to learn new tricks and read reviews of interesting products. I prefer when these kind of posts come from real people like you, not from commercials. :)
