Two of our children turned 16 in the last few months and are now mid-way through doing their GCSE's. 13 years of education compacted into 7 hellish weeks of revision and exam.
Our entire household is in a kind of 'pause' while it all goes on. No-one wants to put a foot wrong, but it's far too easy to say the wrong thing. Even the little boys know to stay out of the way and not disturb them when they're in their rooms revising....
Today they have both had their last full day at school.....
Sigh.......
Hope they do well and get they grades they need for their next steps in life.
ReplyDeleteR is sitting his exams too, but because of the A.S. his are being done slightly differently, so we are not having the same problems fortunately.
Awww, best of luck R! I hope he gets the grades he needs for what he wants to do too :)
DeleteGood luck to them! I remember sitting my GCSEs all those years ago! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you can remember 15 years ago (or whatever) - I have to remember 25 years ago and I think every second is etched onto my brain :)
DeleteGood luck to both of them. I remember J being born and E bouncing her way into your life. Good luck with the exams - you will both knock their socks off when you get to college.
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you. I shall pass on your best wishes. It'll soon enough be your turn :P
DeleteIt is a stressful time isn't it, I remember it all too well! Good luck to them both with their exams and I hope things don't get too stressful in 'The Brick Castle' over the next few weeks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tami. They've both gone out this teatime because neither have exams tomorrow - I think they need the release! :)
Deleteaww look how cute they both were! I hope they both do well and enjoy the summer break afterwards :)
ReplyDeleteI know! Sooooo cute, their little smiley faces and now they're all big and hairy! :D

DeleteHope they've both done well, such a stressful time, I can still remember my O Levels
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good. They're both really ready for a break and thank heavens there are no exams over half term week :)
DeleteCrazy - can't imagine what it's like! Good luck to them ;) (and you!) xx
ReplyDeleteCheers! :D
DeleteIt's stressful, but not actually as hellish as I'd thought - they're both gasping for the half term break though :)
Wishing them lots of luck, I'm sure the half term break is just what they need right now. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh it really is! They're both home now - no exams this afternoon and the relief is amazing :D
DeleteIt's hard to believe that my two will one day be doing this! Good luck xxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Danni - it's so scary. You don't see this day when they're tiny, but it comes so quickly!
