GCSEs and Leaving School.....

Two of our children turned 16 in the last few months and are now mid-way through doing their GCSE's. 13 years of education compacted into 7 hellish weeks of revision and exam.

Our entire household is in a kind of 'pause' while it all goes on. No-one wants to put a foot wrong, but it's far too easy to say the wrong thing. Even the little boys know to stay out of the way and not disturb them when they're in their rooms revising....

Today they have both had their last full day at school.....

Sigh.......

  1. Hope they do well and get they grades they need for their next steps in life.
R is sitting his exams too, but because of the A.S. his are being done slightly differently, so we are not having the same problems fortunately.

    1. I'm glad you can remember 15 years ago (or whatever) - I have to remember 25 years ago and I think every second is etched onto my brain :)

  3. Good luck to both of them. I remember J being born and E bouncing her way into your life. Good luck with the exams - you will both knock their socks off when you get to college.

It's stressful, but not actually as hellish as I'd thought - they're both gasping for the half term break though :)
