Our bunnies are house rabbits and live indoors. They've had some care and attention and been given names by the children.
They have now got used to us, and our living room - including Grace Sparkles favourite place - the Eco-House!
They've also eaten half the floor, so it's time to explore somewhere else - the outdoors!
My boys found out what the world looks like if you are only 15cm tall....
The sky goes up a very long way, and it's even more so from 15cm off the ground!
Curiosity satisfied we were hungry, so it was time for a picnic - with bears and rabbits!
My 4 year old surprised us by kindly bringing everyone a drink of water - really everyone!
And then he chose to eat with the rabbits - they didn't have Barny Snacks though - they had cabbage leaves! My 4 year old likes the chocolate Barny best, and my 5 year old likes strawberry best. The rabbits like Cauliflower leaves best!
Barny Snacks are great for lunchboxes and picnics, and my boys absolutely love them. They are available in supermarkets with 4 different varieties (chocolate, milk, apple and strawberry) in multipacks of 5 individually wrapped bears for around £1.69. What they're best for though, is a teddy bears picnic - with added rabbits!
This is a post for Barny and Britmums. If you want to see more Little Adventures then you can find them at Britmums here or by following #littleadventures
We were sent our 2 packs of Barny to try during our Little Adventure
awwwwww I LOVE rabbits. They're gorgeous and love your kids in the rabbit run my little girl does that too and, if I could, I would get in there too ;) #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteHahaha....I wouldn't go that far - but I used to climb in the run with our rabbits when I was little :D
DeleteWhat a great idea for an adventure! Your rabbits are very cute!
ReplyDeleteThey are very cute actually. I had no idea what I was taking on before they arrived at our house, so we've been very lucky! :D
DeleteWhat a lovely adventure and gorgeous rabbits! I love the idea of the children looking at the world from the perspective of the rabbits too. Thanks for linking up and sharing their fun with Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, we're very lucky! Thank you so much for hosting Country Kids :)
DeleteWhat beautiful rabbits, soo cute! Love how they have inspired your children to look at things down from their level, and that last cage pic is just adorable! :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha....if only he could sleep in there - he might stay in bed! :p
DeleteIt's a great idea to get the boys to see things from a different height level.
ReplyDeleteI think it's always a good idea - it's brilliant when you're a new parent and your child is starting to crawl. I can totally see why they thought the flooring looked so tasty now :D
DeleteThat's just lovely. Not sure I'd be brave enough to have rabbits in the house, but we had a few in a run when we were kids. Barny snakcks have gone down well here too.
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty good actually. They use a litter tray and haven't yet eaten anything expensive!
DeleteSuch cute photos! Gorgeous kids (and bunnies) :D
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Gude! They have their moments - as do the bunnies :D
DeleteAww what a lovely post, I love rabbits, though we have very clever foxes in our area who seem to have no problem breaking into even the most 'advanced' of rabbit hutches!
ReplyDeleteYour kiddies are super cute! Thanks for stopping by my blog xx
You're welcome - and thank you for your lovely comments! We don't really have foxes round here, but the bunnies lived inside before we had them, and we needed to keep a close eye on them for the first couple of weeks as 1 wasn't well, so it was easier to just bring them inside. As it turns out they've been great and far less bother than I expected :D
DeleteWhat a nice project to see the world in rabbit eye view! Must be awesome to see things so massive and taller! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteIt was great fun lying on the grass especially with the boys - you never get the chance when you're a busy Mum! :D
DeleteAw, love the rabbit in the Eco house!! What a lovely adventure your boys went on and how nice to have Barny waiting at the end - my 2 love eating Barny bears!!
ReplyDeleteThe rabbit is obsessed with the eco-house! She loves it in there but we're scared she'll start eating the furniture :D
Deleteso cute! both your children and the rabbits!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super duper adventure! ;-)
