House Of Fraser Genius Jeans

We've been out and about a lot in the past few days, and that's given us ample opportunity to try out some new jeans that House Of Fraser have sent my boys for their Genius Jeans promotion. Jeans and denim are brilliant, especially for youngsters - they can spend as much time as they want being children, and I can relax in the knowledge they won't wreck their clothes doing so!

We were sent 3 pairs to try from the huge range available at House Of Fraser, and we've been testing to see how great they are for playing....

They've been to the Chill Factore....

The National Football Museum....

They've travelled by bus, tram and van....

 They've been worn to erect tents and go camping....

And they've been worn to sit on a chair....tsk...

My youngest is easily pleased. He lives in jeans and will happily wear anything, but prefers a more slim fit leg, so I chose him some Name It boys regular fit denim jeans in age 3-4 for £17.

These are part viscose and elastane, they're really soft and comfy, and he loves them. They've an adjustable waist which is great because my boys are very slim. They've washed well, and didn't lose any colour or shape at all.

My 5 year old is more picky. He's spent the last 6 months only wearing 2 pairs of trousers, so I chose him a similar ribbed cuff pair which he loves, and a black pair - which I love.

The black jeans are Name It boy's regular fit straight leg with a denim dark wash costing £14.

These look lovely, and after some initial hesitation he wore them for 3 days in a row. They stayed smart and looked good, and I've since washed them and they're performed just as expected, again with no loss of colour. They also have an adjustable waist, which is great because he really is incredibly slim and without it most trousers need a belt.

The 3rd pair are Pumpkin Patch boys rib waist and cuff jeans at £23. Despite being the same size (4-5) as the Name It jeans, these are a full 5cm longer. They are a tiny bit big, but we can get away with it because of the rib at the ankle, and they'll last longer!

The detail on Pumpkin Patch clothes is lovely, I've always been impressed by it, and these jeans are no exception. They are finished really nicely and look lovely on my son.

They've also washed well, and the ribbed waist and cuffs have stayed nice and soft and springy. The colour hasn't faded, and they haven't lost any shape.

I couldn't be happier. All 3 pairs came in at £54, and House Of Fraser have jeans to suit any pocket or occasion. I have every confidence these will be appearing on my blog regularly for the next year or so. My boys are happy, and I'm happy - jeans really are genius!
