LEGO Minecraft Giveaway - Set 21115 - The First Night

Today I am delighted to be able to tell you that LEGO have very kindly given me one of the fabulous new LEGO Minecraft sets to give away to one of my readers. The First Night set 21115 is my favourite set and at £39.99, it's the one which I think may well turn out to be the most popular this Christmas.

LEGO Minecraft Giveaway - Set 21115 - The First Night

In complete contrast to The Ender Dragon set 21117 which we reviewed yesterday, The First Night is based on your ideal first night in the Minecraft game. This set includes a great little shelter which is hinged with removeable roof, and contains everything your Steve needs to survive the night and progress into the game.

LEGO Minecraft Giveaway - Set 21115 - The First Night box rear

Complete with a bed, chest, pick axe, oven and crafting table, it's more like the house my children had after 3 weeks of playing Minecraft - they even have their own pig!

Recommended for builders aged 8+, and with 408 pieces, I think this set represents a good value LEGO set. It's especially good for play value and while your younger builder may need a little help getting the footings in the right place or building the structure of the shelter with pillars, I think they'll very much enjoy playing with it afterwards.

LEGO Minecraft Giveaway - Set 21115 - The First Night box Steve and Axe

This is a set that captures the real essence of Minecraft, the moments where you are still scrambling to learn how the game works and you think that the terrifying Creeper or Zombie will get you at any minute. It's familiar to anyone who's played Minecraft, and indeed to anyone who has played survival games.
