Bee Good Intensive Hand Cream and Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm Review

Bee Good are a UK company making products using Honey, Beeswax and Propolis (a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds and sap etc) from UK bees. I'm allergic to bee venom, but I can use the other products and Bee Good have kindly sent me their Intensive Hand Repair cream with Honey, Borage and Echium, and their Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm for review.

Bee Good Intensive Hand Cream and Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm Review

I love this Bee Good Intensive Hand Repair cream. My hands are always in and out of water, and are constantly dry and cracked, even peeling at times. A good hand cream is essential for me to be comfortable, and the Bee Good Intensive Hand Repair has proven a definite hit.

Before photo of cracked, dry hands

When I started using the Bee Good Intensive Hand Repair cream I had dry, cracked skin on my knuckles and my hands were sore. The cream is thick and very creamy, it covers really well using a very small amount. It has a subtle honey smell and feels great to use.

Bee Good Honey Borage and Echium Intensive Hand Cream Review

I love this hand cream, it's awesome, it really is. It doesn't leave a film, even when I next put my hands into water I don't get that slimy feel, it all soaks quickly into my skin. My hands are not sore or sensitive, they're smooth and all of the cracks are gone. I've been using it for a month now and the bottle is still good and heavy, I have loads left.

The Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm is a very nice lip balm, has a really subtle smell and is almost tasteless, and has really smoothed my lips. However the lip balm has granules for exfoliating my lips and removing dead skin, which, although they dissolve almost instantly on my lips, I've found clog the hole in the tube.

Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm Review

Because the tube clogs,  I end up having to really squeeze and then out splurts enough lip balm to last me 3 days. It's not ideal, and is wasteful and annoying, and detracts from the actual usefulness of the balm. I think I  may have struck unlucky with mine, or possibly it'd be happier if I stored it somewhere warmer.

Bee Good Intensive Hand Cream and Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm Review

Bee Good make a whole range of beauty products, all of which can be found on their website. We have previously reviewed the Honey And Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water. Currently the Honey, Borage & Echium Intensive Hand Repair costs £12 for 50ml and the Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm is £4.75 for 10ml. Although these prices are higher than average, I can be confident that the Bee Good products use excellent ingredients and last an incredibly long time, so they do offer fair value for money. Bee Good also have a current competition in association with Waitrose to design the next Great British lip balm!

  1. Ah it's such a shame the lip balm tube was a bit of a disaster! Other than that these products sound great! x

    1. It really was just a problem with my tube. I think maybe I was unlucky - maybe mine had more granules than usual?! :)
