Trespass Ladies Kangchen Rainjacket Review

It's now May, and for us in the UK the end of April annoyingly doesn't signify the end of the rainy season, raincoats are an all-year-round essential. Trespass are one of the better known brands in the UK, we've bought from them before, and even have a Trespass child's raincoat that has been handed down and worn by 3 of our children in turn.

Trespass offered me a product for review, and as my old raincoat was 10 years old I think it's my turn, so I chose the Kangchen - Ladies Trestex Jacket in Signal Red.

The Kangchen jacket is  made from Trestex 3-layer fabric which is waterproof (to 5000mm), breathable (to 5000 mvp) and windproof. All of the seams are taped, and there are 2 water repellant zipped pockets, as well as another zipped pocket inside the jacket, and a small zipped pocket on the arm.

There is loads of adjustment in this jacket, with a really nice drawcord system that means you'll never end up  losing the toggles, and you can still make adjustments with your gloves on.

Around the neckline my Trespass Kangchen  jacket has a fleece lining, which is excellent as I find that is where your jacket touches your skin and feels cold, and it can be a real downfall of a rainjacket.

The hood is fold away, or zip off, and is adjustable for those English Summer 60mph gusts of wind.

At the moment I can't fasten my jacket because of my hernia, but as it was raining this morning I tested it, and the lovely Sim happened to be passing, so she took some *delightful* photo's for me as I did my best catwalk poses....London Fashion Week clearly beckons...

It's worth noting that the sizing is a bit small, so go by the actual measurements, and not your usual sizing. The sleeves are a very good length, which will obviously look shorter when I learn how to dress myself and adjust the cuffs. The jacket itself is a great length. I'm only 5ft2in, but even so, I get very annoyed by jackets shorter than my jumper.

I'm really pleased with my Ladies Trestex Kanchen Jacket from Trespass. The list price is £89.95, but it is currently reduced to £34.99, which is an excellent price. My lengthy experience with Trespass gives me confidence that this jacket will last a long time, and will continue to be waterproof throughout.
