Priced at £169.99, this is a giant 2,793 piece set, which creates a model 31cm high and 54cm long. It's humungous. It's not only the size that's impressive, this is a real working machine, powered by an electric motor and using the advanced new Pneumatics 2.0 system.
As is usual with Technic sets like this, the box also includes
instructions for an alternative model - the Mercedes-Benz Articulated
Construction Truck, which is just over 77 cm long. Truly impressive.
Our older lads have built Technic models before, but the two youngest are yet to feel the joy of building something that you can make 'work' by pushing a button. They aren't yet ready for a build so complicated as this, but it is one of the less tricky Technic models despite it's size, and the suggested age range is 11+.The designers have, as ever, tried to make as faithful a reproduction as possible, and I think they've done a great job. The LEGO Arocs has all of the detailing of the full size vehicle, right down to the curved base of the radiator grill.
The LEGO Technic Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 is available from Saturday 1st August from all good toy retailers and online at LEGO.com priced £169.99. For more good Technic related stuff visit LEGO.com/Technic
