Tiggly Educational Apps and Toys for children 2-8 Giveaway

Tiggly are a company making award winning educational apps with supporting tech toys for children aged around 2-8. Tiggly Shapes, Words and Maths are all designed to be fun to play with while your child learns, and will work on Kindle Fire HD, and most IOS or Android tablets.

The Tiggly apps and supporting toys work directly with the tablet touch screen - no batteries, bluetooth or anything else is required.
Tiggly Shapes is for younger children aged 2-5. Featuring 4 toys and 3 learning apps this set for younger children teaches shapes and strengthens fine motor skills and creativity.
Learning using shapes isn't just as simple as learning square, triangle etc. Tracing around (and inside) shapes helps with fine motor skills, and it teaches children that different shapes have a different name and different meaning, which is a tricky concept to grasp, but is essential if we want them to go on to learn letters and words.

Tiggly Maths is for children aged around 3-7. A set of 5 toys and 3 learning apps covering counting,  addition and numberline - Tiggly Chef, Cardtoons and Addventure.

Small children cannot 'count in their head', and need visual prompts to help. The toys are groups of squares from 1-5 which your child can use to work out some really quite complicated maths that they couldn't do without somehow counting objects in front of them. The squares design allows the child to instantly see the difference between quantities, and is a really handy tool for teaching number bonds - the basic knowledge that underpins our maths skills (eg 3+2=5).

Tiggly Words is designed for children aged 4-8 and is a set of 5 vowel shaped toys and 3 learning apps - Tiggly Doctor, Tiggly Submarine and Tiggly Tales.

This set teaches the fundamentals of language, covering long & short vowels, phonics, nouns & verbs & word building. This basic knowledge underpins everything we learn about reading, writing, spelling and sentence construction, and will help your child understand the 'rules' of language from the start. This will help them not only as they learn how to read, write and spell, but throughout their lives - for example whenever they meet a new word, or wish to get across a complicated message.

Tiggly Shapes, Tiggly Maths and Tiggly Words are all available from Amazon, and from tomorrow morning (Friday 24th July) also be available on QVC. All 3 sets have a selection of languages available and have an rrp of £24.99.

Tiggly have very kindly offered one of their education app sets as a prize for one of my readers, and the best thing is - the winner will get to choose exactly which one they win!; Would you choose Tiggly Shapes, Tiggly Maths or Tiggly Words?

Entry to the giveaway is by Gleam form below. No answers are mandatory, but each task you complete will give extra entries into the giveaway. UK entries only please. The giveaway will end at midnight on Sunday 16th August.

  2. These sound excellent. I still haven't got my children a tablet (bad mum alert!) but as soon as I do, I'll be getting some of these for them. I love the idea of learning apps and I definitely need to get onto it.x
