The woodlands and open spaces at the Just So Festival were perfect for getting some nice photo's, but a bit dangerous with all of the grass and people milling around. I'd promised my 6 year old I wouldn't lose any more Mystery Machine, so I couldn't take as many pictures as I'd have liked - plus there was so much to do anyway, I didn't have the time!

The Gruffalo was completely mobbed and it took ages to get anything that wasn't just a blur! And yes, I really was holding the Zombie in one hand and trying to photograph with the other - while walking.
The Big Top area was so colourful and had glorious sunshine on Saturday afternoon, so while my kids were busy plate-spinning and slackline walking, I was setting up my favourite LEGO shot of the weekend.
It's quite hard when you have limited LEGO available! We decided right from the start we wouldn't take anything extra which wasn't in The Mystery Machine set.
Making clay faces among the trees was a perfect opportunity to really have a bit of fun. You have my OH to thank for creating this shot - this is sometimes a whole family venture...
An old chopped branch leant against a living tree made an excellent platform, and when we moved it away you'd never have known...
Rain really did sadly stop play at this point, and we decided Scooby and the gang were safer indoors. I didn't fancy trying to fish a 2cm magnifying glass from a muddy puddle, and it was more important to make sure we still had lots of fun in spite of the rain, than to take photo's.
If you are intrigued, I do have an actual review of the Just So Festival for children, which was awesome, and I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a weekend making excellent smiles and memories.
I wasn't under any obligation to either take the photos or post this blog post - I did it because it was fun!
Looks like they had a fun time. Love Scooby Doo as do the kids so might have to look in to these sets.
