Darth Vader has 160 pieces and is recommended for age 9+. Inside the box are the instruction leaflet, 3 bags of bricks and a fabric cloak.
It's a nice build. Easier than the General Grievous buildable figure, my nearly 7 year old surprised us completely and built this one on his own in one hour before school! Hence, no build photo's, but I do have photo's in my review of the General Grievous model and the style is very similar.
The buildable figures are based around Technic LEGO with absolutely tons of the ball and socket joints you find in Bionicle or Heroica figures. Even the armour plating and 'costume' elements are attached by ball joints and have some limited movement. The main torso is a really complex arrangement...
Darth Vader is a lot more poseable than you realise at first, and can be made to bend and sit. To make him sit properly you first need to lift up the two grey bits either side of his groin. We can't even work out why they're there?
He's not the most well-balanced figure and your younger builder might find him a little frustrating at first, but practise makes pretty good....

The LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Buildable Figure set 75111 has an rrp of £24.99 and is available from today from LEGO online and in stores. It's a nice build and a nice model.
