NOW TV - Only pay for the TV, sport and movies you want to watch!

We cancelled our Sky package about 3 months ago because we actually felt after 11 years of watching movies every day, we'd caught up with the back catalogue. We are happy with Sky Movies, but just felt we didn't need it all of the time and some months we didn't get our money's worth. We knew we would want to look at alternatives and NOW TV was one of the options we were looking at anyway, and then I was asked if I wanted to become involved with the NOW TV Blog Squad.
NOW TV still hosts Sky Movies, there is no ongoing contract, you pay for 1 month, so if there's nothing to watch, you're super busy or on holiday, you can take a couple of months off free of charge and then go back when you want. You aren't tied in to a huge bundle contract, and so you pay for only what you wish to have access to that month.

It was really easy to set up NOW TV. I actually set it up using my laptop, and immediately my partner logged on using the Playstation 3 so that we could take advantage of the large screen and HD. This all took about 6 minutes and we were already watching a movie!

You can register up to 4 devices on your NOW TV account, (they are automatically added the first time you use them), and 2 devices can be used simultaneously - so the kids can watch something in one room and you can watch your programmes in peace. The devices can include a NOW TV box, games console, computer, tablet or smartphone and a host of others, so it really is available for you to watch anywhere.

After registering your initial 4 devices, if one breaks or you get a fancy new something, you can only exchange 1 device per month, which you may want to bear in mind. Don't buy a new Playstation and get a new phone and expect to be able to use both straightaway.

NOW TV has 3 different packages which are available to buy separately:

Entertainment offers you 13 channels which you won't find on Freeview, including MTV, Sky 1, Atlantic and Discovery for £6.99 per month. There's also a massive stock (over 100 different shows) of catch up TV series to keep you going, and it has everything from Peppa Pig and Haunted Hathaways to Modern Family and Poirot.

Movies offers literally thousands of movies on demand from the Sky movies catalogue and the 11 live Sky Movies channels. It's taken us about 11 years before we were finding it harder to find something we fancied that we haven't already seen. A Monthly Pass costs £9.99.

Sports is a little different because you can buy a Day Pass for £6.99, or a Week Pass for £10.99. At the moment there is a limited time offer and a week pass is the same price as a day pass, so £6.99. Obviously that's more expensive per month than the other packages, but you only need to buy it when you want it, and it gives you all 7 Sky Sports channels.

The actual NOW TV menus are fairly intuitive and similar to what other sites use, but it is laid out differently and in more of a 'tree'. Browsing titles is a bit clunky, and it takes a little while to learn your way around, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. Using 'search' is quick and thorough.

When you register you add payment details and it automatically starts your payments when they're due unless you cancel, but it is very clear when you will next owe money, the date is shown next to the pass title on your account screen, so you will be instantly reminded every time you look at your account.

New subscribers to NOW TV usually get a FREE TRIAL so you can have a look around and decide if you like it before you pay anything! If you're now considering NOW TV, take a look and if you sign up through any of my links it won't cost you anything extra, but I'll get a couple of quid and can keep my partner happy with Saturday night Doritos for another week.

I am part of the Now TV Blogger Programme and have received a NOW TV subscription to review content and use as part of that deal.
