The Card Gallery also create personalised stationery and other products for business and schools. They even print iron-on name labels and personalised gifts for your child's teacher.
The website is incredibly easy to navigate. I was obviously choosing Christmas cards, which are found under 'occasions' - I had a quick look and there are lots of options available - these are a selection...
Most cards are personalised with text, but some have extra touches available too, such as amending the number of animals to match your family, and even labelling them with your names.
Cards can be personalised with photos, logos, names, dates, addresses, etc - in fact if you have any requests at all then you can speak to The Card Gallery and they'll do their best to sort it out for you.
I have never ordered personalised cards before, so ordering from The Card Gallery for Christmas was a real novelty. I couldn't really think of a message that fits for everyone I want to send to and I was ordering several of the same design, so I wanted to use an image of my own instead. Something that is light and fun, embodying Christmas for our family. Fortunately I have a photo that does just the job.....
You may have seen it before if you've been entering my Christmas Present giveaways....
Because I didn't have an original digital copy this is a photo of a photo, which isn't ideal. It'll never be as sharp as an original, but it has worked just fine actually, and it's good to see what you can do if you want to use older photo's or any other you don't have a high resolution original digital copy for.
I made time and sat down to order, but it only took about 5 minutes. It's worth noting that if you choose the photo personalisation then the photo is added AFTER you have added payment details - I was really quite worried I was going to end up with a pack of Christmas cards with the unknown baby in the example.
I received a proof by email the next day to approve, and my cards arrived only around 3 working days later, carefully packaged in a sturdy box.
The quality is good, the card stands well and is a good thickness, and the envelopes are better quality than standard boxed shop-bought cards. The photograph is very sharp and excellent quality when you consider it's gone camera-computer-paper-phone-computer-paper. I'm very pleased with my cards.
For around 70p each I really don't think you could wish for more. I haven't ordered personalised cards before, but I've paid more than that for cards I didn't really like plenty of times. It is actually a fun thing to do and a special touch for close family and friends. If you have a photo that works perfectly, then even better...
Personalised Christmas cards including photo cards start at 70p each. All cards are printed onto high quality 350 gram white card that has a slight sheen to it, and supplied with white envelopes. My cards are 148 x 105mm (A6) when folded, with my message and photo on the front and a plain inside. There is a minimum order of 10 cards and UK postage is free. All Christmas cards can be found in the Christmas and New Year Stationery section of the website.
We were sent our cards for review.
