ROOM The Movie Merchandise Giveaway

ROOM will hit UK cinemas on January 15th. A very poignant movie from Studiocanal, which will no doubt require plenty of tissues, it tells the story of a young woman and her son, imprisoned in a 10ft x 10ft room for several years.

As her son gets older it becomes more obvious that they cannot continue forever and when he reaches 5 years old they hatch a plan to escape. The movie follows their attempt and what happens to them when they break free, and the little boy experiences the outside world for the first time.

Based on the best-selling novel from Emma Donoghue, the movie has already scooped a plethora of award nominations and wins - including Best International Independent Film (British Independent Film Awards) and Movie Of The Year (AFI - American Film Institute Awards).

I am a big fan of Studiocanal movies, they're intelligent and thoughtful, and usually feature a great cast and crew. Imitation Game starred Benedict Cumberbatch, and Rush stars Chris Hemsworth (also known as Thor). Brie Larson is probably best known to date for her roles in Community (the TV series) and 21 Jump Street.

In the run up to the movie release, the ROOM Facebook page are hosting weekly competitions where you can win some lovely prizes including signed film merchandise, a Polaroid camera, preview screening tickets and a Kindle Paperwhite. Each week they have a prompt or theme and are asking readers to send in a photo or drawing as entry.

The people behind ROOM are also offering a prize bundle for one of my readers. The bundle includes the following:

Soundtrack of ROOM
Poster of ROOM
Novel of ROOM
DVD bundle of 3 Studiocanal past releases: Imitation Game, Rush, Blue Valentine

To enter the giveaway please use the Gleam form below. UK entries only, the giveaway will end at midnight Friday 15th January - the day ROOM is released in the UK. Please see the terms and conditions at he bottom of the Gleam form.
