The Little Penguin Pororo's Racing Adventure Children's DVD Review And Giveaway

The Little Penguin: Pororo's Racing Adventure is one of the latest children's animated titles from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The star is the little penguin Pororo, who has a dream to be a Super Sled champion, and gets his chance to shine when he participates in the ultimate Super Sled race with his friends.

Pororo accidentally causes an aeroplane to make an emergency landing near his home in Porong Village. The plane is piloted by 2 turtles, Toto and Mango, who are on their way to make a delivery to the Super Sled Championships. Pororo has told everyone he's a Sled-Champion, which isn't strictly true, he's a delivery boy.


Pororo joins Toto and Mango, they travel to the Super Sled Championships and end up being able to compete against the other teams, including the current champions led by The White Tiger. I shan't give away what happens, but we all like to see an underdog win...

The film features an all-star cast including Rob Schneider, Drake Bell, Anthony Anderson, Jon Heder and Dallas Lovato. It's well executed with nice animation and good happy music which really is a pleasure to have running in the background - even on the 4th time your 5 year old has watched it that day.

The storyline is really visual and easy to follow, and Pororo is suitable for children of all ages, while still holding the attention of both my 5 and 7 year olds, who really enjoyed it. We even had a little penguin themed snack, as we were sent a cool penguin ice cube tray and some jelly - it is a lot harder than you'd think to make penguin shaped jelly!

In spite of my 5 year old eating as much as he could, we also had enough jelly left for some Han Solo in Carbonite, which was a lot easier to get out of the mould! And we made some better penguins....

The Little Penguin: Pororo's Racing Adventure is available to buy now on DVD and Digital Download, it is rated as Universally Suitable and has a runtime of 1hr 17 minutes. RRP is £10.99, but it is currently on offer on Amazon for £5 on DVD.
