We're Geronimo Children's Festival Ambassadors

I am delighted to announce that this year we really should be going to the Geronimo Festival as Festival Ambassadors! Yeeay! Set at 2 locations in the North of the country - Tatton Park in Cheshire (May 29/30) and Harewood House near Leeds (May 1/2), Geronimo is a no-camping day festival designed especially for children aged from 2-12. We will be bringing you all of the action from the Harewood House festival.

Annoyingly we missed the Geronimo Festival last year as I had become really ill with a hernia and then had massive surgery to repair it. Instead of wasting my tickets I was able to arrange last minute to give them away, and I gave them to someone who had entered my blog ticket giveaway every day and obviously really wanted to go - in return for a review. They did an excellent job and it's clear they had an awesome time - you can read Sara's Geronimo Festival review here...

This year, with only 6 weeks to go, everything is looking good and I'm getting very excited about how much fun the boys will have. The star line up is fabulous, and includes the ever-popular Mr Bloom and Justin Fletcher (better known as Mr Tumble), Alex Winters and Andy Day the explorer with his Dino Rap, plus Cook and Line from Swashbuckle.

Away from the main stages the festival is split into Zones:

Adrenaline - including a 60kph zipline, den making and tree climbing.

Arena - Live displays including motorbikes, sheepdogs and owls!

Library - I have no idea why this zone is named this and can't wait to find out - highlights here include a Frozen singalong, drumming and dancing!

Theatre - including the Fabularium, Les Enfants Terrible and the Pocket Story Theatre

Circus - test your own skills and catch the shows, including a full circus and Circus Fudge performing his Glastonbury show.

Pasture - ride a Shetland Pony, meet the Giant Tortoises and watch Crocodile Joe with his amazing collection of reptiles.

Bandstand - exactly as you'd expect, live music throughout the day.

3ft and Under - this is where you'll find activities purely for the younger members of your family - including Tumble Tots, Baby Ballet and a baby yoga tent.

Funky Junk - crafts galore including face painting, hair-braiding, fairy making and totem pole carving. Something for everyone.

Fairground - a Helter Skelter, Carousel and even steam powered Swing Chairs take us all back to our youth.

Woodland - mudpies and fairy potions, and for the bigger kids a Mountain Bike course and a nbile high ropes course.

There's so much more, including giant puppets, a junk orchestra, gold panning and Boomchikkaboom Rave Sessions, to type it all would take all day.

We'll be sharing our day at Geronimo on social media, you can catch us on Instagram and Twitter.

A few tickets to the Geronimo Festival are still available. A single day ticket is £25pp which gives you free access to pretty much everything all day - you can find out all you need to know and buy tickets via the Geronimo Festival Website.
