Madame Tussauds Blackpool Gets The Summer Festival Feel...

It's not every day you can see a giant pair of wellies on Blackpool beach, but Madame Tussauds have taken a pair onto the sand to promote their newest area inside the attraction - Festival Fields. They didn't only have giant yellow wellies braving the elements - Olly Murs, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran were there too, as the festival headliners...

We are a house full of music fans, and most of my lot are no stranger to festivals either, so Festival Fields sounds right up our street. It's also got it's very own camper van to go with the wellies - throw in the wet wipes and you've got my 3 festival essentials!

To give you a sneaky peek of Festival Fields, Madame Tussauds Blackpool have put together a quick video tour for you...I bet those are the cleanest festival toilets on the planet...

This is not the first time I've posted a picture of a pop star in front of Blackpool Tower - we had our own version back in August 2013 with cardboard Tom Jones, although he wasn't so sturdy and didn't make it as far as the beach in the wind!

We did however pay a visit Madame Tussauds in Blackpool that day, and our favourite part was the pop music area, where we found wax Tom Jones in fine form. You can see our review here. The old area for music fans was great, but a refresh and a change is always good...sorry Tom, hope you made the cut.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool has absolutely masses of other exhibits, with royalty alongside politicians and stars of TV, sport, film and music. We were really impressed with just how big it was, and how many stars they could fit under one roof.

Entry to Madame Tussauds Blackpool is always best value when you buy tickets online in advance

Individual entry is from £13 per adult (age 15+), and a Combination or Big Ticket for multiple Blackpool attractions saves you more (2 attractions from £20pp/3 attractions from £30pp/5 attractions from £45pp). For more details see our review of some of the Blackpool Tower Attractions - we visited the Blackpool Tower Dungeon, Blackpool Tower Circus and Jungle Jims Indoor Play.

I've written this post because I was asked to by Madame Tussauds Blackpool, but we loved our visit and we will definitely be going back with our children to have a look at Festival Fields ourselves soon - although I don't think cardboard Tom will be with us this time...

    1. I can't believe you haven't been to Tussauds - it's awesome! I hadn't been to the Tower before, but I can't imagine it's changed much, the beautiful old building is still all there :)
