Star Wars Activity And Model Books From Egmont Books for Father's Day

This Father’s Day Egmont Books have treated the Dad of our house to some of their great new Star Wars mini-build books. They are exactly the type of the kind of gift he would buy for the boys – partly because he wanted to have a play and a look at them himself…

We've been sent Star Wars: Battle Stations: Activity Book and AT-AT Model and Smuggler's Starship: Activity Book and Millennium Falcon Model. We chose to give my partner the Battle Stations AT-AT model book for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, and we will be giving him the Smuggler's Starship Millennium Falcon book on Father's Day this Sunday.

The books contain a model kit and activity pages. The book opens out to show the card pages to make the model on the right, and an activity booklet on the left. The model is thick glossy card, and the activity pages are varied and well thought out - they certainly caught the attention of my 7 year old!

The boys gave their Dad the Battle Stations book for his birthday - they know he is fond of AT-AT's, and there was no doubt it'd go down well.

This was a very definite Father and Son activity in our house. Our 7 year old couldn't wait - the parts were pressed out in moments, and it only took around 15 minutes for the duo to complete their model...

The finished model is pretty cool! Very sturdy and quite big (approx 10cm x 13cm) with lots of printed detail and good shaping. It has excellent balance and stands really well.

Someone is especially proud of it...

I think for the price, you really get a lot from the Activity And Model Books. They're lovely quality and the activity pages may be a little easy for Dad to work on alone, but he can help his offspring - if they'll let him...

The Star Wars Activity and model books are published by Egmont Publishing. Both are hardcover, with 50 pages and an rrp of £8.99. You can find both books on Amazon - the Battle Station AT-AT model book and the Smuggler's Starship Millennium Falcon model book.
