One day Penny brings a new dog home from the pound, Duke. Max is very jealous and decides he needs to get rid of Duke, but it goes wrong and both Max and Duke find themselves lost.
Max and Duke need to find their way back home, but are being watched by the evil fluffy white bunny Snowball and his ragtag gang of escaped pets. They encounter several adventures along the way, including nearly drowning after Duke is taken by the Animal-Catcher, and the van has an accident on the way to the pound.
The animation is lovely, with detailed backgrounds and plenty of action. There is a fantastic voice cast including Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet and Ellie Kemper, and the characters have plenty of personality. It's a very funny film and my boys loved it. They laughed out loud throughout, and we were all smiling. It really is a great family movie for Sunday afternoon smiles.
To promote the release of The Secret Life Of Pets on Digital Download, Universal Pictures have come up with a guide for parents who want to download movies safely with their children, but maybe aren't sure where to start (click on the image to enlarge it).
Digital Downloads mean you don't have a disc which can be lost, broken or scratched, your entitlement to watch the movie is stored online in your account, and can be accessed by you on any compatible device, at any time. Your children can be watching Secret Life Of Pets in the back of the car or the hospital waiting room just as easily as they can in their own lounge.
If you are a fan of The Secret Life Of Pets, or just like to guess what animals are thinking, then there is tons of fun on The Secret Life Of Pets website, where you can 'create your own pet', watch videos and download printables, play games and much more.

ReplyDeleteI am at home all day so it is rare that our chihuahua is left on her own, and if she is, it is only for a very short time as she is small enough to sneek in places in her carry bag. She never gets up to mischief and I assume she just sleeps in her bed because that is always where she is when I return - looking like she has just woken!
ReplyDeleteI think my cat Tinkerbell has a pee on my bathroom mat...or so my hubby says but hmmm Im not sure thats the case with 2 boys and one man in the house
