Other people aren't always around, and teddy bears as we know them have been an important part everyone's life since the early 1900's, although there's plenty of evidence to suggest soft cuddly toys have been protecting children while they sleep for the last 2000 years or more.
To celebrate Hug A Bear Day Hallmark sent us this gorgeous Limited Edition Forever Friends Vintage Bear, and some bear themed cards. Our bear was immediately claimed by my 6 year old, and I don't know about you, but I think that teddy bear looks a lot happier after a good cuddle.
My son fortunately understands we all need a hug, so he was kind enough to let his brother have a little snuggle too. Our new Hallmark bear is definitely the softest bear we have, so it's no wonder he's in demand... (although a lot of children also like the feel of labels on their fingertips...).
Hallmark also sent us a selection of their cards featuring bears for all kinds of occasions. I'm pretty fond of the big brown bear who is on some of these cards. He's cute and sweet, but not too sugary for my liking...
All of the cards are beautifully made and the artwork is excellent. The messages inside are nice, the text and images modern and bright. The cards which stand out to me most are the Christmas cards with excellent fold out 3D shapes. I already know who is getting these this Christmas...
Hallmark Cards and Gifts are available to buy online in their Amazon shop, or instore.
We were sent our Teddy Bear and Cards for review, and paid for the time taken. Even Gary has a teddy bear that he sleeps with - go hug a bear!
Beautiful pics enjoy
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret! My boys can still be cute occasionally :D
DeleteI love Andrew Brownsword teddies, I've got quite a few!
ReplyDeleteReally! It's our first - except for tiny ones. I'm quite stunned actually that no-one here has bought one before!
DeleteI still have my Teddy. My Granddaughter loves giving him cuddles. He ( Eddie ) is looking a bit tatty now, but I would not part with him.
