Part of the Manchester Animation Festival, Puppet Masters Return with Aardman Studios lets members of the public get up close and personal with the characters from some of those well-known family favourites including Wallace and Gromit, Timmy Time and The Pirates, An Adventure With Scientists!
My household are big fans of Aardman Animations, their films have been staples here for all of our children. I can probably recite all of A Grand Day Out or The Wrong Trousers, but even my youngest says "cracking cheese Gromit" when he has a nice sandwich...
There's really no point saying anything else, just look at the photos... My apologies they are a bit dim because the light was low and as it was an evening theatre, so seemed inappropriate to start flashing! Glass cases aren't great for photos - it's better in person...
The boys even got their photos taken by the photographer for the play we were reviewing.
There was a sneaky peek at how the models and their props and accessories are designed and made. This is the part that really fascinates me. So tiny, and so 'realistic', how do you even begin to decide how to make your vision a reality?
This is a FREE to enter exhibit which is open to the public until 1st April 2017. and is housed at Waterside Arts Centre, 1 Waterside Plaza, Sale, M33 7ZF, UK. Waterside Arts also show some amazing theatre. Find out more information, including opening times, on the Waterside Arts Centre website. Well worth a visit.
