Winter Wonderland Returns to Manchester Event City 9th Dec -1st Jan

We reviewed Winter Wonderland last year and my boys had an excellent time. This is an all-inclusive event, where your children are entertained and happy and everything is included in the price you pay on the door, so you don't end up spending far more than you intended.

You can read my full review of Winter Wonderland 2016 here and we've now been this year and my  Winter Wonderland 2017 Manchester Review is here...

Winter Wonderland is the UK's largest indoor fun park and features more than 50 family rides and attractions under one roof. The 22.000sq metre event hall at Event City is transformed into world of light, sound and magic.

There aren't only rides and side shows, Winter Wonderland has some amazing shows that visitors can see. This year Rainbow will be visiting, with Zippy and George bringing a nostalgic touch for the grown-ups and a show full of magic, mayhem and comedy capers. Everyday there will be a Christmas Circus and if you are inspired to try some acrobatics yourself, you can join in circus skills workshops.

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle, our friends from Cosgrove Hall's Pip Ahoy! will be back this year with their huge sandpit and deckchairs for a more relaxing moment or two, and the interactive building block zone will keep the children busy for a while, and maybe some of the grown ups too.

No Christmas event would be complete without a visit with Santa, who will be there in his temporary house, which visitors can explore as they wait to visit with him. He brings real reindeer, plus his helper Elves and Fairies and is understandably very popular, so does tend to have a queue.

Winter Wonderland is in its fifth consecutive year, and organisers Kingpin Events are promising 2017 will be biggest and most sparkly, with plenty to fill your session and fill every child with some of that Christmas magic.

Winter wonderland will be in place at Event City (Next to Intu Trafford Centre) from Saturday 9th December 2017 – Monday 1st January 2018. Session Times are 4 hours long and vary by day, but are generally a daytime session over lunchtime and an early evening session.

Ticket Prices are £20.50 per person (3+), OAP £15, Family of 4 £70. This includes everything except prize-winning sideshow games (Hook A Duck etc) and food/drink stalls. To book tickets and find out more visit the Winter Wonderland website. or call 0843 209 1842.

Security: Events throughout Manchester and the UK are now subject to greater security, this can't be helped and means it's sensible to avoid bringing big bags or unnecessary items. Visitors are being asked to leave a little extra time due to security checks as you arrive on site.

We attended Winter Wonderland 2016 free of charge for review. Thanks to Winter Wonderland for two of the photos in this post!
