Set in the jungle, as the name suggests, this is the story of a group of quite eccentric animals. The main character is a penguin who was raised by a tigress and believes he is The Great Warrior Tiger. She also painted him stripey to fit in.
Maurice the Penguin and his tiger Mum aren't the only characters. The very eccentric bunch includes Maurice's pet fish, Junior, who he carries around in a bowl, a gorilla named Miguel and a bat named Batricia. The animals live as a family and are self-styled super-heroes, calling themselves The Jungle Bunch, fighting crime and help keep the rest of the animals safe.
The animal's peace is shattered when Igor, an evil koala and his baboon mercenaries try to take power. The Jungle Bunch have to come to the rescue!
The animation is very brightly coloured, but quite soft and the characters have cute faces and smiles. Language used is very easy to follow and there is nothing very perilous or scary, so this is an ideal movie to watch together with youngsters.
Recommended for children under 9 and their family. Smaller toddlers may not entirely follow the storyline, but that won't matter, although the 1 hour 37 minute runtime may mean younger children watch in two halves.
