Share a photograph (a recent one so people can recognise you!). This is pretty recent from a previous BlogOn Conference and I don't think I've changed any in 5 months. I'll probably even be in the same frock... and look just as confused.
What is the best thing about blogging? I can work around my family, even all night if I have to and then sleep....erm... Sleep is for wimps.
What was your dream job when you were growing up? I wanted to teach adults. I did teach adults! I even got to help write a couple of OCN qualifications. I haven't taught since I moved up to Manchester, but I've been busy enough.
What is your lucky number? 14
What is your favourite season? Autumn
If you had to choose one what would your favourite dish from the Chinese be? I love crispy mock duck in black bean sauce, with egg fried rice and vegetable spring rolls, and mushroom foo yung. You can't really pick one, you need them together.
What is your useless talent? I was brilliant at the whole getting pregnant and having a baby thing. I made the most of it, but sadly they aren't really transferable skills, so it's now redundant. And no, I really am done. I'm waiting on grandchildren to play with now.
If you could keep any animal as a pet what would you choose? I'm not really fussy and I'm dead soft, so it would be the next waif or stray that passed probably (no offence Gary).
Which one meal would you eat forever? (If you had to choose one!) Vegetarian hot dogs - I genuinely would live on them. With tons of mushrooms and onion and ketchup.
What is the last thing you check before you lock your front door? I nearly always leave by the back door and look at the kitchen table. There's an area I put things I'm meant to take with me, so I'm used to checking that space and even if the table is completely empty, I always look. Then I wonder why the table is empty.
If you won £50,000 what would be the first thing you would buy? A take away tea for my family to celebrate.
What is your favourite social media channel? Twitter. I love what Trump has done to it. You can go and chat to scientists and political experts, and trawl through the rubbish and find the real truth. Also it isn't weighted quite like Facebook and Instagram, I see posts from everyone.
Tell us more about your best ever holiday. We took all 7 of the children and 2 of their grandparents on a trip across Europe to stay at LEGOLAND's campsite in Billund. We stayed in Germany, The Netherlands and France as well as Denmark and it was an amazing 2 weeks.
Name one cake you rock at baking. Standard Victoria Sponge usually doesn't let me down and I can get it in the oven 10 minutes after I've decided to make it.
Which session are you most looking forward to? I'm making up my own titles but, Video Presentation and Working With Toy Brands - they are things I've been doing now for 6 years and I know I've improved, but it'd be nice to know if I hit targets or am behaving like a fool.
What is your favourite book ever? Bizarrely A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I am a huge fan of Christmas and Wintry weather. I know he mainly was thinking back to his own childhood, but I'll take snow and second hand nostalgia any time. The messages as well are those I think we all need to remember.
Which special event is your favourite? (Halloween, Christmas etc) Christmas. Every time.
If the internet vanished right now how would you share your message or life story without a blog? Like I used to in the olden days, privately in a diary. Probably I'd write a book, although I doubt I'd get anyone to read it...
The lovely Katy over at Katykicker wrote this linky - she'll be at BlogOn and I might actually get to chat to her one day when I'm not running around frantic or late! If you're coming to BlogOnToys in September 2018, you can join in with the BlogOnToys linky here...
This is an advert, my ticket to BlogOn was free in return for my time.

DeleteHaha we will get to say hello one of these times!! xx
ReplyDeleteYes! Although I find it always ends up with us saying it swiftly as we run past each other dead busy and then we either end up next to each other all day or don't spot each other again :D
DeleteI think I will be able to spot you next week! Well, I hope so. Looking forward to seeing you. All the best with everything. Intrigued to find out the reasoning behind the number 14 as your lucky number.
