Inside the box are 4 pairs of special glasses with noses, 4 sticky snots, 1 spinner, 30 boogers and a booger bowl which has a timer in the base. No batteries required, the box and plastic packaging is easy to open, plus you can store everything in the box afterwards - Christmas morning friendly.
Initial set up takes only 5 minutes to construct the glasses and insert the snots. The snots are made from that gooey-feeling, sticky sort of rubbery plastic and one end is poked into the bottom of the fake nose.
The glasses are good. They're quite small, but open wide, so work for all of our head sizes very well and are surprisingly comfortable - even with dangling snot.
The aim of the game is to be the first player to collect 10 boogers. You win boogers by spinning the spinner and gathering the correct coloured boogers on your snot, without using your hands.
The 'boogers' come in 3 different colours and surprisingly my colourblind boys can see them all, so that's a win. Place all of the boogers in the bowl, spin the spinner, wind the bowl 3 times counter-clockwise to set the timer and then try to collect the right boogers. It looks hilarious.
If you collect the boogers shown on the spinner, you keep them all. Collect the wrong boogers and you have to return them. If you collect a purple booger then the first player to shout "Snot it", wins it and adds it to their total.
Each game only takes around 15 minutes, so you don't need to commit very much time. It's quick to get out and put away, and makes a great 'warm up' or 'fill 10 minutes' game and is ideal for children. It's actually quite compact during play, although quite loud at times! We enjoyed it far more than expected and the boys have already brought it out a couple of times to play again.
Snot It is available to buy now priced £19.99rrp from all good toy and game shops, including online at Amazon (*aff) - where it is reduced at the time of typing to less than half price!
