Perfect for any young nature lover, Amazing Pets lets you explore some of the more exotic and usual small creatures you can keep in your own home, sensibly and ethically, and gives you an idea of just what you'd need to look after them...
Recommended for readers aged around 8-12, Amazing Pets is split into sections, starting with 'Golden Rules'. This is a serious book for people who care about creatures and it's right that it starts with some simple rules to prevent anticipated errors which might end very badly.
Most of the Amazing Pets in this book are 'bugs' - Matises, Stick Insects, Butterflies & Moths, Beetles, Giant Millipedes, Triops and Giant Land Snails. Lovely.
My sons have found this book fascinating. My 10 year old keeps ants and would love something just a little bigger. There's so much information here that it can keep any youngster like him reading and learning for a long while. I can totally see the attraction. I now know a million facts about minibeasts and not-quite-so-mini beasts myself!
Amazing Pets & How To Keep Them is written by Stewart McPherson, and published by Wild Nature Press. Available to buy now 128 pages, priced £12.99rrp in large format full colour hardback from all good bookshops, including online at Amazon*. A really good book in our opinion at a very fair price. ReplyDeleteSo separate rooms for each pet could allow for Health and Safety for each pet, as well as individual, undisturbed time and place to pamper each pet.
Dream On.
