Crazy Eggz Family Game Review (Age 7+) Sent by Asmodee

Crazy Eggz is an active family game for 2-4 players which involves holding colourful rubber eggs without using your hands. Fast-paced and at times a little contentious, you have to hold up to 5 eggs without dropping them in order to be able to win the game...

The packaging is excellently designed - a cardboard egg box! Inside are 9 bright orange rubber eggs and 1 heavier blue egg, as well as a red Action Dice, white Body Dice, egg stand and instructions.

Every player starts by rolling the white Body Dice and placing an orange egg into position on their body as directed - armpit, between your knees, elbow, neck or chin.

The youngest player puts the egg stand on the table and places an egg from the box into the stand. Then they roll the Action Dice. All players then attempt to do the action correctly most quickly - without dropping any eggs

If the top is red, the first person now rolls the white Body Dice, collects the egg from the stand and places it into position on their own body. They get another egg from the box and put that onto the stand.

If the top is blue, the slowest person to complete the action has to return 1 of their eggs back to the box (if they have any).

Play continues to the left of the player who just won or returned an egg. If a player at any time drops an egg, it is returned to the box.

If you manage to collect 5 eggs about your person. you are the winner - well almost. You have to stand up and spin round while saying 'cock-a-doodle-doo', without dropping any eggs, to be the winner.

Crazy Eggz is certainly crazy enough. It's quite frantic and the more players you have, the worse that is. When we've played, quite often no-one is deemed 'first' because it's often impossible to tell who it really was. Holding onto the eggs is easier than you'd think, but spinning round at the same time is a lot harder.

I'm not really a 'speed game' kind of person and Crazy Eggz was a fun thing to try, but didn't really do it for me. My 10 year old really likes it though - it is definitely more popular with the younger members of our family.
