One Dear World have offered one of my readers a doll plus an extra outfit as a Christmas present...
This is Hope and she was born in Ghana. She has 3 good friends - Parth, Lea and Jun. I did a full review of Hearty Hope last month and I think she's excellent. She is beautiful quality and the perfect size and weight for young arms to hold.
Her change of clothing is a gorgeous little orange dress which is Fair Trade and made in Sri Lanka. It's very easy to change her because she's soft-bodied and there is a long velcro-style fastening at the back of the dress.
It's worth taking a look at the dolls with disabilities and health problems, because they are excellent and a share of profits from each will go to relevant charities. Each product will only be manufactured if they have enough orders.
The little wooden wheelchair is priced at £20 - which is far cheaper than nursery equipment catalogues!
One Dear World dolls currently cost £21.99rrp each and are suitable for children from 12 months. Outfits cost £11-17 and are recommended for children 2 years and over. These are such beautiful dolls, if I could make one I think I'd choose one from East Africa like one of my little boy's best friends. I think he'd want to name the doll after her - Janna is the shortened version of her name that all her friends use.

ReplyDeleteLovely dolls. It can be difficult to find nice ethnic dolls for a reasonable price and is great that they have a change of clothing.
