Christmas Giveaway: Jumbo Games Puzzles Bundle (sent for review)

On Thursday this week (7th November) at 4.30pm I'll be joining in with Jumbo Games for a big Puzzle Party on Twitter. The theme is "A Night In With Jumbo" and it's a perfect fit for these dark Winter evenings.

I've been sent 4 x 1000 piece puzzles, a sorter and a ginormous puzzle board for review, and Jumbo Games will be giving away the same bundle during the party. Very importantly though, they'll also give away this same bundle to one of my readers as a Christmas Present Giveaway...

We only got our parcel a couple of days ago and it looked so Christmassy the boys were keen to get stuck in! Both of the Jigsaw Puzzles in the giveaway are Special Edition and actually have 2 puzzles inside. It's fantastic use of space and really minimises packaging, as well as saving money. 4 for the price and space of 2.

The Wasgij are very different, with a more modern, comic strip illustration and a clever concept. Usually you don't complete Wasgij with the image you see on the box - you complete a different view, or a 'what happened next?', solving mysteries or working out 'whodunnit'.

In the Wasgij Christmas 15 ‘Santa’s Unexpected Delivery!’ however, there is a bonus Jigsaw puzzle which does feature the picture on the box!

Wasgij can be a bit cheeky and mischievous, and the images are a bit like seaside postcards, but they really make you think. Solving the puzzle within the image is the only way you will complete the jigsaw puzzle on the table.

The Puzzle Mates Porta Puzzle Board has been brilliant! We can just pick up our puzzle and move it out of the way. The pieces don't slip or slide at all, the plush surface creates enough friction to hold them, and it makes them very easy to pick up too.

The board isn't heavy, and it's shallow enough to slip behind a bookcase when we aren't using it. It's also massive - plenty big enough for the Jumbo Games 1000 piece puzzles, with a little space around the edge for loose pieces.

Lastly we were sent Puzzle Sorting Trays - a box with 6 layers that stack neatly together so that you can separate jigsaw pieces by colour or design, or edges, and then pack away between building without having to mix them all up.

My youngest has always liked puzzles and it didn't take a lot of encouragement for us to join in. In the end we all spent the evening together working on one of the 1000 piece Special Edition Falcon De Luxe 'Santa's Special Delivery' Christmas puzzles. It was a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening together - in the warmth of our living room.
