Christmas is all a bit of an unknown at the moment, we are unlikely to be able to do all of those things we usually do. Any of us might have loved ones who we won't see in person, and Moonpig are ideal for our seasonal messages. They really don't just deliver cards and flowers, they sell a HUGE range of gifts, and they've sent me a selection to review, plus a voucher to do some shopping of my own...
I've got 4 grown up children now at University, and the nearest relatives are 80 miles away, so online gifts delivered to their door are ideal for us. Moonpig wrap everything individually in really quite attractive, yet totally recyclable card. You get to open all of your presents, just the same as you would ordinarily.
The cardboard packaging has tear off strips, so it's easy to open, and any packing aside from card is also biodegradable. I love the message "Delivery for someone very special." Having these parcels to open DOES make me feel very special. Who doesn't love presents through the post? And it's my birthday this week.... as chance would have it...
I was sent a 4 very decadent items:
Gin House Gift Set
Nutcracker Treat Tin
Magical Christmas Morning Yankee Candle Gift Set
OPI Shine Bright Christmas Cracker Gift Set
The OPI Shine Bright Christmas Cracker Gift Set is a set of 4 Mini Nail Lacquers that are perfect for Christmas time. The colours are named Naughty or Ice?, Red-y For the Holidays, Let’s Take an Elfie and Heart and Coal.
Who doesn't like candles? Especially at Christmas and in Wintertime. The Magical Christmas Morning Yankee Candle Gift Set is a pack of 3 Votive Candles - Singing Carols, Holiday Hearth and Surprise Snowfall, and 1 Small Jar Candle, Unwrap The Magic. It really does smell incredibly festive, comforting and cosy - and I've not actually lit any yet.
The Nutcracker Treat Tin is my absolute favourite. He's lovely, and will be a regular part of our Christmas in future. He isn't only decorative, he's actually really big (37cm tall), and when he arrives, full of goodies!
Butlers Vanilla Fudge, CHOC+ Luxury Hot Drinking Chocolate Milk: Chocolate with Salted Caramel, Farmhouse Biscuits Oat Flip Biscuits, Gold Crown Decorative Mini Chocolate Cake, and the incredibly tempting Stas Milk Chocolate Bauble with Salted Caramel Decorations.
The Gin House Gift Set is something that my partner is very interested in. There are 4 different miniature bottles of gin, but it's the 4 flavoured tonic waters that he really wants to try. Sounds like a fair split to me...
I have bought from Moonpig before, and I definitely will again. partly because ordering is incredibly easy. There are drop down boxes to change the delivery date and recipient (you can even store different addresses, so they're handy for the next time you want to treat someone).
I will miss my daughter's 21st birthday because she's away at uni and we're all under lockdown, so I really wanted to send her something in place of a hug. The sloth was frankly perfect. He warms up in the microwave, and is super cute.
I also sent a couple of special cards, to remind people we do still love them, even if we can't be with them this year. I like light-hearted cards, and I think they will too.
Personalising couldn't be simpler. You have an image of the card with the text boxes clearly marked and you just type in the box. Moonpig change the size of your text automatically, and you can change the font, add your own photos and really create your own unique greeting, in just a minute or two.
I've sent and received
Moonpig personalised cards several times, and the quality is great. The printing is bright and crisp, and they have something to suit anyone, from classic designs and greetings, right through to completely up-to-date - cards that will not only mark an event, but also a moment in history.
I'm really impressed with the range and the quality from Moonpig. The prices are fair, and postage charges are standard Royal Mail. The packaging is brilliant, and I've never received anything that was broken or damaged. They have some real hidden gems - personalised gifts including mugs and t-shirts, gifts which fit through a standard letterbox, books, plants, games, even stockingfiller type gifts. It's well worth having a good look around the website before you check out.
Moonpig cards start at around £3.29 for a personalised card, and prices for Moonpig gifts vary.
I was sent the Gin House Gift Set £20, Nutcracker Treat Tin £30, Magical Christmas Morning Yankee Candle Gift Set £15, OPI Shine Bright Christmas Cracker Gift Set £16.
The Sloth was £10!
I was sent my Moonpig Christmas Birthday presents and supplied with credit to place an order, in return for my honest review.
