If you follow me on Instagram then you may have noticed that we were sent a gorgeous Loungefly Star Wars Lands Naboo Backpack for my 11 year old to review. This is a full size backpack, which will fit an A4 folder and writing pad, and it's also incredibly good to look at...
My 11 year old is off to high school in September, so he needs a cool bag that will carry his schoolwork, plus the books, pencil cases and other essentials any secondary pupil needs. He also needs it to be reliable and strong, and fairly weatherproof (this is Manchester).
Loungefly have a huge range of bags and backpacks featuring Disney characters, including all-time popular favourite here - Star Wars.
The Loungefly bag feels excellent quality. The faux saffiano leather is really thick and soft, the seams are perfect and the detail is amazing. This is a lush bag. There is a double fastening zip on the main body of the bag. and a single fastening on the front pocket, with very fancy Loungefly zip pulls.
Inside you get a very nice surprise, with this gorgeous patterned polyester lining. Again, everything is beautifully sewn and you can't fault the quality. This is one of my favourite colours too. The inside pocket is pretty small, but ideal for passes, cards and coins.
Obviously the main detail is the 3D embossed view of Naboo on the front. It is unmistakable to any Star Wars fan, and why my son chose this bag on first sight. This image is based on a popular cult hit movie franchise (with some help from an ancient Spanish palace), and it has a classical beauty. It really does feel uncharacteristically serene.
I hadn't had a good look at Loungefly bags before, and I certainly recommend them now. They are made by the same people as Funko POP!, and have the same precise attention to detail. The quality feels superb, and there is no compromise on fashion, style or practicality.
Over the years we must have bought our children over 100 different school bags. Some we still have, and some have lasted less than a fortnight. This is an 11 year old's school bag, but I have every confidence that it will be with us long after the end of his first high school year. Even if he refuses to wear it properly - although at least you can clearly see the full length of the strap adjustment.
Loungefly have a huge range of bags in all kinds of shapes and sizes, many with 3D details or other extra bits which make them special. The full size backpacks are big enough for those A4 items, and the quality makes them ideal for anyone.
